Skiing vacation in Oberstdorf

Over the years, Oberstdorf has become one of Germany's most popular winter sports destinations. It is a picturesque village in the Bavarian Alps known for its excellent skiing and snowboarding facilities. It is located in the Allgäu region of southern Germany, near the Austrian and Swiss border.

Oberstdorf is easily accessible by train, and once you arrive in Oberstdorf, there are plenty of ski lifts and cable cars to take you to the slopes. There are some entertainment venues, but you won't find the authentic après-ski atmosphere known from many ski resorts elsewhere. Fortunately, there are some locations that offer traditional après-ski. Directly on the slopes, unfortunately, there is nothing to be found, so you can head into town after a wonderful day in the snow. The centre is almost entirely car-free, allowing you to stroll through the charming streets in peace and quiet.
