Intercity Brussels becomes Eurocity Direct and EuroCity from 15 December

From 15 December 2024, the name and route of Intercity Brussels will change. The fast train to Brussels will soon be called Eurocity Direct. In addition to the Intercity, there will also be an extra train to Belgium, EuroCity. Until that date, you can continue to travel on the current trains.

You can travel to Mechelen directly with Intercity Brussels or travel to Antwerp with the high-speed Eurostar train where you change trains to get to Mechelen. Choose which train to Mechelen meets your needs the best.

Prices are calculated from Amsterdam Central Station, one-way. The price of Intercity Brussels is based on kilometres – if you depart form a station that is closer to Mechelen, then the trip is cheaper. Early Bird can be booked up to 3 days before departure, limited availability.

For Intercity Brussels you can buy tickets from 180 days before departure. Up until 3 days before departure, you are able to buy our Early Bird tickets: tickets with a significant discount. The availability is limited.
