Vienna's Kohlmarkt is the place for luxury shopping. This location is one of the most exclusive shopping districts in Europe. You will find the poshest shops with many top brands such as Prada, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Jewellers offer the finest jewellery and this is also the place to be for shoes. Are you surprised my the name Kohlmarkt for such a luxurious place? In the Middle Ages, this street was the place to buy charcoal.
When are shopping Sundays in Vienna?
There is no set shopping Sunday in Vienna. Most shops are closed on Sundays. Some (small) supermarkets do open on Sundays. On Thursdays and/or Fridays, shops are sometimes open later in the evening.

A day of shopping in Vienna is a perfect part of a wonderful city trip. You can easily reach Vienna by train from the Netherlands. The trip from Amsterdam with ICE International takes 12.07 hours and you only have to change trains once. On your trip during the day, you can enjoy the constantly changing view.
