Schedule European Sleeper

European Sleeper is a night train between Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Dresden and Prague. With one change in Berlin you can travel onwards to Prague and Warsaw.

The European Sleeper night train runs three times per week in both directions. In Belgium the train stops at Brussels and Antwerp. In the Netherlands you can board at Roosendaal, Rotterdam, The Hague HS, Amsterdam, Amersfoort and Deventer. Before the night train heads to Berlin, there is one last stop in Bad Bentheim.

The timetable may differ per day due to track maintenance. All currently known differences are integrated in the booking flow of the European Sleeper. Later changes will be notified to the passengers by email or SMS.

Train tickets European Sleeper

Tickets for an overnight journey on the European Sleeper night train between Brussels, Amsterdam, and Berlin start from

  • € 39 for seats,
  • € 69 for couchettes and
  • € 109 for sleepers.

Between the Netherlands and Belgium the tickets for seats start from € 14.

Price levels are dependent on travel demand and availability. To find the most attractive fares, book as far ahead as possible, avoid school holidays and try to book for weekdays.

European Sleeper classes

European Sleeper has three comfort classes: Sleepers, Couchettes and Seats.

Sleepers

  • The most comfortable travel option, with a maximum of 3 beds in the compartment
  • Compartments can be booked as single, double and triple
  • Washbasin in the compartment, toilets elsewhere in the carriage
  • Seats and table in the compartment
  • A comfortable mattress, made up bed, including blanket, sheet and pillow
  • Men and women travel together, except in the women-only compartment
  • Compartments can be locked from the inside
  • A charging point is available in every compartment
  • Breakfast + and welcome drink included
  • Towel and toiletries included
  • More drinks and snacks can be purchased from the train crew

Couchettes

  • Seats during the day, 6 comfortable couchettes at night
  • Compartments can be booked as a 6-person, 4-person or private compartment
  • Blanket, sheet and pillow are included for all passengers

  • There are two charging points in each compartment

Practical information

Women only compartments available

For female travellers, a reservation can be made in a special women-only compartment. Both the 4-person couchette compartments and 3-person sleeper compartments (Triple) are offered as Women Only compartments.

Cats and dogs are allowed

Pets can travel with you on European Sleeper trains, but only if you booked a ticket for a private compartment.
