Step 5. You change your trip by rebooking and canceling online through My NSI

Depending on your fare conditions, you may be able to cancel your ticket(s) yourself online in My NSI. In some cases, this may incur a fee. Check your fare terms and conditions in My NSI. Will you receive a refund? If so, you will receive it within 3-7 business days.

Book your new trip first and only then cancel your current ticket(s) to avoid your trip being unavailable.

The fare conditions state that to change a name or route, you must cancel the ticket and book a new ticket. Book first your new trip and only then cancel your current ticket(s) to avoid your trip being unavailable.

Name spelt incorrectly

Is the name on the ticket spelt incorrectly? Then your ticket is still valid. There is no need to change it.

Did you book your ticket at a travel agent, tour operator or NS International desk? Then you can change your ticket there, depending on the conditions of your ticket.

In case of an emergency, such as a strike or storm, you will receive an email with instructions on how to change or cancel without charge.

Where can I find my fare conditions?
The fare conditions of your ticket(s) can be found in My NSI. Log in with your existing NS account or create a new My NSI account with the e-mail address with which your booking was made.
What are the cancellation conditions and fees?

The conditions and costs of cancelling your ticket depend on the carrier and the fare of your ticket. You can find the fare of your ticket in your booking confirmation and via My NSI. You can find the conditions per country and carrier on the fare conditions page.

I just made a mistake while making my online booking. How can I fix this??
If you discover that you have booked the wrong travel date, please get in touch with customer service immediately at 030 23 000 23 (7.00 - 23.00 hrs). Within an hour of booking your trip, we will still adjust your booking for you free of charge. The only condition is that the same fare is still available. If that fare is no longer available, you will have to pay the difference in price between the previous and the new ticket.
Can I change or cancel a ticket after booking?
Whether you can change your journey depends on the fare conditions of your ticket. To do so, follow the roadmap on this webpage.
How do I change or cancel my ticket due to an emergency such as strike and train cancellations?
In case of an emergency, such as a strike or storm, you will receive an email with instructions on how to change or cancel without charge.
I want to amend the name on my ticket; is that possible?

The fare conditions state that to change a name or route, you must cancel the ticket and book a new ticket. So, cancel your ticket via My NSI and immediately book your new ticket on the website.
