Avignon is considered the Rome of France. Popes lived in the city for a century. This resulted in the Palais des Palpes: as the largest Gothic building in France today, it’s the most important attraction of the city. The Pont l'Avignon is also well-known. This bridge from the 12th century is beautiful to see and nice to walk over.

Every year in July, the city organises the Festival d'Avignon. This theatre festival is home to around 40 theatre, music and dance performances. Fun for young and old!

Changing trains

For a lot of destionations, you will have to change trains in Brussels South/Midi or in Paris. At Brussels-South/Midi, follow the signs 'Eurostar' until you reach the main hall. The large information panels will indicate the platform from which your TGV will depart.
