Montpellier is a vibrant student city with a beautiful historic district but also a modern atmosphere. The old district is called Ecusson and consists of a maze of picturesque streets where you can easily get lost. There are plenty of pleasant terraces, restaurants and boutiques.

Place de Comédie combines different architectural styles and is situated next to the imposing opera house, L'Opera Comédie. It’s also nice to visit is a flea market. The most famous, Les Dimanches du Peyrou, is open every Sunday.

    Changing trains

    For a lot of destionations, you will have to change trains in Brussels South/Midi or in Paris. At Brussels-South/Midi, follow the signs 'Eurostar' until you reach the main hall. The large information panels will indicate the platform from which your TGV will depart.
