A Navigo Easy pass, the public transport chip card in Paris
You can use the Navigo Easy pass to travel on the metro, RER trains, buses, trams and the funicular in Montmartre. The Navigo Easy pass comes in two versions: a physical and a digital version.
Physical pass
The physical pass can be bought for € 2 and can be topped up after purchase. You can buy the pass at counters and ticket offices at stations and in many shops in the city. The Navigo Easy pass remains valid for 10 years. You can top it up:
- at the counters and ticket offices at stations
- at the purple machines at metro and train stations
- with the Bonjour RATP-app on your phone
- in many shops in the city.
And to make it even more complete, you can buy an anonymous physical pass and a personal one. For the latter, you need to bring a passport photo. With a personal pass, you can also buy a favourable weekly pass. That card is valid from Monday to Sunday..
Digital pass
You can also buy tickets and check in without the pass using the Bonjour RATP-app. You buy your tickets in the app and then open the gates with your phone. This works for Android and iOS. You can also add the Navigo Pass to the Apple wallet.
