Tivoli Gardens is one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. It opened in 1843 and has had a mix of attractions and beautiful gardens from the very beginning. You will find the park in the center of Copenhagen. Tivoli Gardens offers fun for all ages, with its sensational rides, gardens and classic entertainment. With its mix of old and new, the park is reminiscent of the Efteling. However, it has no fairy tale forest, is smaller but just as charming.

Tivoli Gardens is opened almost year round and organizes various events during the different seasons. The park has a summer and winter program and organizes special activities around Halloween, Christmas and Easter. At night, the park is also open and enchantingly illuminated.

Buy your admission ticket online

It is easiest if you buy your admission ticket in advance, online. You can print the ticket at home or show it on your phone at the entrance. Tickets for children up to 2 years old are free and over 50% reduction from 3 to 7 years old. You can choice between an admission ticket to the park and a ticket including admission to all attractions.

Food and drink

You can visit one of the many restaurants in the park and get some treats from the stalls in the Tivoli Food Hall. You can also eat snacks you brought into the park. You are only not allowed to bring alcohol inside.

There are concerts in the park on Fridays. If you plan your visit on a Friday, you will also have access to the outdoor concert.

Travel quick and comfortable by train

Tivoli is easily accessible by train from the Netherlands. With ICE or Intercity Berlin you travel via Hamburg to the Danish capital. There are lots of reasons to visit Copenhagen.
