Changing trains to get to London

Travelling with Eurostar 2024

Earlier, we reported on the reconstruction of the Eurostar terminal at Amsterdam Centraal. This means that from June 2024 to early 2025, no direct Eurostar will run from Amsterdam or Rotterdam to London.

Eurostar news

Eurostar now announces that trains from London to Rotterdam and Amsterdam will run 3 times a day in the second half of 2024. The journey from the Netherlands to London will be possible by changing trains in Brussels. You can travel to Brussels with Intercity Brussels or Eurostar and take the Eurostar to London from there. In Brussels, you need to go through passport control and customs. This may means more travel time to travel between Amsterdam and London.

What will happen during that period?

As of January 2025, there will be a large terminal at Amsterdam Centraal where more passengers can travel directly to London. This terminal will be located in the Amstelpassage. Reconstruction work has already begun and completion of the new terminal is scheduled for January 2025.
